White clay mask powder
White clay mask powder, also referred to as kaolin, ball clay or porcelain clay, is one of the most delicate and versatile clays. The main component is aluminium silicate (aluminium), which heals and tightens the skin. This clay is a source of valuable micronutrients such as silicon, magnesium, potassium, calcium, zinc, aluminium, kaolite, iron and other micronutrients, and sodium and mineral salts. White clay intensely nourishes the skin.
Properties of white clay
This is very mild clay , so we recommend especially for the care of dry, sensitive and delicate skin. Prone to irritation and tired and mature skin will love it! Kaolin gently cleanses and nurtures. It also has an anti-inflammatory effect, so it will also work for combination, oily and acne-prone skin.
Mask with this clay used regularly soothes and soothes, cleanses and smoothes, improves tone, skin becomes nourished. Thanks to the presence of aluminium, white clay helps in the fight against excess sebum and blackheads. After applying the mask, the skin is smooth and soft to the touch.
Like all clays, it has an astringent effect. People with dry and susceptible skin should use clay mixed with a few drops of skincare oil, e.g. sweet almond oil or apricot kernel oil, so as not to dry the skin excessively.
To the prepared mask with clay, add a few drops of macerate from rose petals, which will perfectly refresh and regenerate the epidermis.
White clay is widely used in cosmetics as the basis of powders for the face and after the addition of coloured pigments and eyeshadows, and lipsticks. Often added as a gently abrasive in toothpaste, scrubs, soaps, face masks and scalp.
White clay as an ingredient in face and body masks
Mix a small amount of white clay with a tablespoon of still mineral water or hydrolat to get an effective mask that caresses and cleanses the face and body.
We highly recommend to add cosmetic oils to the clay mask, preventing it from drying out and irritating the skin. Remember that all clays have a strong astringent effect by absorbing excess moisture and sebum from the epidermis. If you are not a fan of solid skin tightening kind of feeling, this is something for you. Apply your clay masks during bathing or put on the face a warm, damp towel that will prevent the clay from drying out quickly. Leave it for about 15 minutes. White clay is best washed off with lukewarm water or removed with a sponge.
White clay for hair
Due to their antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and soothing properties, all clays are excellent support in treating scalp conditions such as dandruff and any irritation, eczema.
Apply a clay mask directly to the scalp, not to the whole hair. White clay has moisture-absorbing properties, which can make the tips of hair dry.
You can also mix clay with a portion of shampoo. Remember that the mask of white clay needs to be rinsed very thoroughly, and then apply conditioner or smoothing lotion to avoid having stiff and dull hair.
