Olive soap known as bastille soap
Olive soap, also known as bastille soap, must have been the soap we’ve worked on for the longest time. Like three ingredients, what could go wrong here? And it can go wrong, a lot. Finding an oil that does not give a green tint and still benefits our skin is an art! As we thought we had found the one that gives a beautiful, creamy colour, there is something that I never even dreamed of. The olive soap has burst our forms! Literally! Block of soap turning into stone, yes, been there done that, but the soap explodes the moulds? So we didn’t find our ideal candidate and gave up that soap for a while. We breathed, we regained the strength to re-test, and then we found our oil. It was a perfect shot! Bastille soap is a scent-free, extremely gentle bar. Perfect for every type of skin, suitable for children 3+.

All soaps are 100% hand-made. The ingredients are combined manually, poured into forms, cut and decorated by hand. Therefore, they may differ slightly in shape or colour. However, the recipe is the same for each batch and equally delicate, foamy and efficient.
Please note that between use it should be kept away from water – best on a soap dish with holes or a strainer.
The white powder that you might see on the top of the soap is just soda ash, appears when the soap has contact with air and disappears after first use 🙂
