Damascus Rose hydrosol
Damascus Rose hydrosol also known as hydrolate or floral water, is obtained in the process of steam distillation of damask rose flowers. Its composition consists of water-soluble plant particles and small amounts of essential oil. It does not contain artificial fragrances and dyes.
Properties of Damascus Rose hydrosol
Damascus Rose hydrosol is lovely for delicate, sensitive, dry skin. Rose water has a cleansing, regenerating and smoothing effect. It has antibacterial, antiseptic, tonic and anti-inflammatory properties, which perfectly refresh.
It soothes irritations, burns and speeds up the healing of minor changes. Natural rose hydrolate perfectly moisturizes, prevents skin dryness, stimulates cells to regenerate, prevents their ageing, and restores the proper pH of the skin.
It evens out the skin tone, cleans pores, makes the skin shiny and relaxed. The wonderful rose fragrance additionally introduces a good mood, a feeling of comfort and luxury. The flavonoids (anthocyanins) contained in rose petals strengthen blood vessels and stimulate blood microcirculation. Rose water also has vitamins B, C, K, tannins, carotene and polyunsaturated fatty acids – it owes them its remarkable cosmetic properties.

Hydrosol is a natural product, so there may be allergies and irritations, various allergic reactions, redness or burning. In this case, you have to let the hydrosol stand for at least a day and dilute it with distilled water. A 50% reduction in concentration usually helps. However, if it did not help, it is best to use such a hydrosol differently, e.g., hair or body.
